It has been almost two years since my dear husband Ed entered as a resident of the Hampton Living of Whitehall. Observing the special care he has received has given me great comfort. Most facilities are bleak and “hospital like.” Whitehall is different! The terra cotta colored floors, the cheery surroundings, planned activates and good care, contribute to the warm feeling the patients and caregivers experience. Thank you for being the one in charge.

Thank you for the beautiful Passover Seder. Robin, with the help of her two sons, did a fine job conducting a mini-Seder. All your staff involved should be commended, including the Dietary Department and the kitchen. My husband, Melvin Kramer (Hampton’s) enjoyed pureed gefilte fish and a full chicken dinner.
It was nice to share this traditional Jewish holiday with Mel and his Hampton Families. The Easter Parade on Thursday was so much fun. We all enjoyed the decorations and festivities.
A very happy Easter to you, your Family and great staff.
—Sheila Kramer

I would like to let you know how much I appreciated my stay following my lower back spine surgery. Your staff at all levels provided a great service to me personally and my thank you goes to them.
—Dr. Norman A. Gathany

I must take the time to tell you just how grateful I am for the wonderful treatment provided to me by all. Thanks to your physical therapists, I was up and walking way before anyone could ever expect. Everyone at the facility was very caring, but the therapists were the best. My physician has advised his staff to recommend Whitehall Boca whenever it is possible.

I want to tell you what a wonderful facility that Whitehall is and outline the experience that I have had with my mother’s care.
My mother has multiple medical problems requiring long term, 24-hour total care as well as a complicated respiratory situation with a tracheotomy. My stepfather asked me to find a facility who could care for my mom when they became permanent Florida residents. As a local physician in Boca since 1991, I knew that Whitehall was the only facility I could trust to care for my mother. She has been under your care since June 2004 and has absolutely wonderful care.
Hospitalizations, which were a monthly occurrence in Cleveland, dropped to once in 2 ½ years.
The staff always bent over backward to provide my mother quality dignified care. The facility is impeccable but it is truly your staff that makes Whitehall a unique facility in South Florida. I recall during Hurricane Francis, one of your staff was thoughtful enough to stay with my Mom and read to her through a stressful experience. Thank you for being who you are and taking such wonderful care of my mother.
—Steve Glanz, M.D.

Thanks a million for making it possible for an elderly frightened patient to relax and feel welcome. No words could adequately express our deep gratitude and appreciation.
—Elaine Buchalter and Norman Fisher

The care that your entire staff gives to your patients is simply wonderful. The dining room is spotless and the food selection excellent. We rate your facility A-1.
—Anita Gelfenstein

I wish to express my gratitude to a group of wonderful professionals. The kind and caring staff provided excellent care 24 hours daily and I quickly gained a feeling of security. Staff members were knowledgeable, courteous, tolerant of a very sick lady and obviously well trained. PT and OT brought me back from my abysmal weakness. The beauty shop made it possible for regular shampoos that contributed to my comfort. It is rare indeed to find such a special group of people in the fine atmosphere that is uniquely Whitehall.

A life worth living again… Everyday the physical therapist, Kim and the occupational therapist, Janis, worked with me both physically and emotionally. They drove me to work harder and harder daily. Little by little, I started to be me again. The respiratory folks, Lucy, Mike and Kara worked again on a 24 x 7 basis to get me off the ventilator and finally all oxygen supports. The speech therapist and dietary staff worked with me so I would be able to consume normal prepared meals. The nursing staff, Bonnie, Marie, Mereanne and Frieda in particular, not only put up with my many mood swings, but continually kept me clean and cared for. They are available for me immediately. I am looking forward to returning home in a walker and then continuing my outpatient therapy at Whitehall to progress to a cane. I will always be eternally thankful to Whitehall’s staff of angels who have given me back a future. I now have a life worth living.

I have found your staff to be helpful, cheerful, comforting and capable. They do not lose their tempers easily. They listen to your problems rather than being antagonized by hearing them. They know their jobs and when faced with a novel situation, they show intelligence and common sense in solving them. Above all, they are available. They are there, ever willing to step up to the line — even going above and beyond.

We are back to our daily routines in New York and finally have a moment to experience and reflect on our time with our dear Uncle Harold and all the wonderful people at Whitehall. Joel and I want to express our heart felt thanks to you personally. You showed us such kindness, strength and compassion; we felt we were with family. I thank you so much for the comfort you gave us in so sad a time in our lives. The outpouring of love and caring that was shown for Harold has only enforced our belief of what a lovely man he was in our life.
Harold had a lovely funeral in Watertown and is home and at peace. Now is the time for dear Sylvia to completely recover and find joy in live and go on living without her beloved Harold. Please give our love to Margaret, Sharon, Jonese, Sonia and all “the girls” at Whitehall who so lovingly took care of Harold. You must thank Lisa for the wonderful photo of Harold she gave us. I will treasure it always. It was so thoughtful for her to be so kind and caring. I know Sylvia was touched to find his framed picture in her room when she arrived at Whitehall. If you see Jennifer from Hospice please convey our deep gratitude to her. She is an extraordinary woman and gave Joel and me much comfort and insight. Hope you had a wonderful holiday in Napa with your daughter. You are in our thoughts. We are forever grateful. A big hug to you.
